Distress Notification

Wearable ‘push button’ tech sends request for help.

The goal of any perpetrator is simple, to stay one step ahead of the good guys, even if only for a short duration, before achieving one’s goal. In the case where a perpetrator successfully navigates all layers of security, calling in reinforcements is only a few clicks away.

In critical situations, seconds matter, and alerting authorities to emerging threats in an instant can mean the difference between life and death.

Faculty wear a lanyard for a convenient, always-on, lifeline.

  • Press 8 times to generate an automated call to authorities

Managing the various levels of threat allows for a string of automated tasks to self-perform, such as locking down all doors, sending camera feeds to emergency dispatch, and providing pre-recorded audible instructions over IP Mass Notification systems.

Alerting authorities as soon as possible is critical, and this latest in direct communication technology ensures the fastest response possible. But additional local action can be triggered from the panic button to implement more immediate defenses. Having the ability to lock every classroom door from the outside is essential. Bi-directional audio with exterior intercom stations or remote IP communications drastically enhances communications to aid in coordinating the plan of action.

With a few pushes of a button, teachers initiate automated local actions like locking down doors as well as executing macro tasks such as notifying authorities. Antenna’s throughout the building provide current location(s) of the distress beacons, even when moving or outside of the building, to assist responders with quickly identifying where to go.
